Folding Chairs

Learning how and when to rent or buy folding furniture seems like simple tasks, but many factors must be considered. One folding chair may seem to be the same as another, but in fact folding chairs are not created equal, they come in all shapes and sizes, just like us humans, the people that sit on them. Tall skinny folding chairs in wood and white canvas used for directing the next Oscar winning Action film. Short and plastic chairs used anywhere. Elegant yet causal ones for sitting by the ourdoor (outdoor) deck, near the beach, holding up to the hot sun. Sturdy child resistant ones sitting in the indoor school gym waiting for the big game or performance. Sleek mental, standard steel, gleaming black folding chairs used by the extra guests at the table or in the back yard at the Barbecue.

Some chairs were specifically created for indoor parties and others for ourdoor (outdoor) fun. Some invite guests to stay awhile with cushioned comfort and others get right down to business with the hard formed seat. Folding chairs exist for every purpose and type of occasion, indoor, ourdoor (outdoor), formal, informal, business or pleasure. They easily store in closets, back rooms or basements. Easily maintained and obtained it is easy to believe that folding chairs were invented for convenience.

Want to host an engagement party, a wedding, a card game, a poetry recital, a wake? Extra chairs and maybe a folding table or two will probably be needed. Those that entertain quite frequently own folding chairs and tables stored neatly away. Those of us who rarely plan events have to rent. But how? Finding a party rental store is the first step. Folding chairs and tables, from inexpensive to very very expensive, are a stable of the inventory for such stores. The yellow pages will have listings for a local party rental store or two. Also searching the Internet is a quick method to finding local businesses. Type in the city and state and the words party rental store. Once a suitable store is located the second step is deciding exactly the items and numbers needed. Will 10 chairs and one large folding table be sufficient or will 100 chairs and no folding table be better? If the chairs are for a card game, then of course renting a table will be necessary. For a wedding the chairs will be enough. Once the exact number and type of the objects needed is determined the third step is choosing the style and type of chair and or table that will be used for the intended event or purpose. Budget will most probably be a factor under consideration. Making sure to shop around for the best deal is the important fourth step. The fifth step is carefully reading over the renal agreement and finalizing the financial details. Renting is cheaper as long as the extra furniture is only needed on a temporary one time basis. When visits to the local party rental supplier are so regular that first names and personal details are exchanged with the person behind the register it is time to invest permanently in folding furniture. Folding furniture range from 15 to 500 dollars to purchase depending the supplier.

Buying folding furniture is certainly an investment. Deciding between practicality and elegance isn’t necessary unless the budget requirements insist because most higher end folding furniture designs blend both qualities effortlessly into the product. When purchasing folding furniture the first step is to decide how much money to invest. The second step is determining exactly the type of furniture needed. Renting is different than buying, the chairs that were perfectly nice for a day, just won’t do when they would be in use for the duration. Also location of use must be taken into consideration. Will the chairs go out by the pool or will the tables be used in the dining room for holiday dinners? Also considering where and how the furniture will be stored when not in use will help determine the type of items needed. Some folding furniture stacks, and others come on a cart. Deciding the number of chairs or tables one needs to buy will also help answer the question of storage. 300 chairs stored on carts and 100 tables stacked on a flatbed aren’t going to fit in a small hallway closet. Don’t forget to take a good look at the decor of the home. Remember that the furniture will probably be needed for different functions in different rooms. The third step is choosing a store from which to shop. Also deciding between shopping locally or online is a decision every modern shopper must make. When shopping online the cost of shipping must be added. It is often cheaper to shop locally and to look for free shipping offers. Also when shopping online time may become a factor depending on when the scheduled event will take place, the date the furniture is needed and how far away the order of that furniture has to travel. The forth step is finalizing the decision and making the purchase.

Remember when buying or renting folding furniture create a check list and ensure that all the steps have been taken and that the final product fits happily into the home. Finally when in doubt measure the choices of folding furniture by the three Cs, comfort, convenience and cost.
